Alando Tobais Dismute was born on July 21, 1974, to Pearlie Dismute. He was affectionately known as Toby. Alando was the youngest of four siblings. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Pearlie Dismute, and his oldest brother, Shepherd Owens.

Toby accepted Christ at an early age.

He was educated in the St. Louis Public School System.

Alando had a passion for working on cars and repairing motorcycles. He was also highly skilled at home repairs. He enjoyed cooking for his family and filled their time together with joy and laughter.

Alando Dismute departed this life on June 14, 2025.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Michelle Dismute; four children — his oldest, Devon, followed by Desmond, Alando Jr. (TJ), and his baby girl, Remi; several grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Joyce, and sister-in-law, Cherae; his sisters — Pamela, Doris, Monica, LaFonda (Dart), LaRonda (Bernard), and Vanessa of St. Louis, Missouri; Shanika of Hayti, Missouri; his brothers — Sheldon and Mark (Catina); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
