Barry Wilkewitz, 67, of St. Charles passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026.

Barry lived a life that was anything but ordinary. He faced hardships, made mistakes, and experienced challenges that shaped much of his journey. Barry was loved, frustrated over, worried about, searched for, forgiven, and remembered. Those who knew him best understand that love and forgiveness can exist alongside heartbreak, and that every person’s story is more complex than what others see.

To those in the community who knew Barry as “Moses”, he was a familiar and valued presence. Barry’s daughters are especially grateful to his best friend Treigg Hart, who brought him companionship and comfort until the very end.

Barry is survived by five of his siblings, and his daughters, Teressa Reese, Tina Anderson, and Tracie Pillow. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. His legacy will be carried on by the “Dad quotes” that will be repeated for generations.

A community memorial service celebrating Barry’s life will be held by The Salvation Army of St. Charles on Saturday, August 22, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
