IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Douglas
Williams
September 1, 1958 – January 23, 2026
Douglas Williams of Saint Louis Missouri was born September 1, 1958 and passed away on January 23, 2026. Doug was a devoted son, father, brother, and uncle. He was a kind intelligent man with a passion for music. As a self-taught bass guitarist, he could often be heard playing his favorite songs by Marvin Gaye, especially Heard it Through the Grapevine. He'd jam with his brother Kenny accompanying him on the drums, both playing in their parents' basement and at free concerts in the park. Doug enjoyed his life and was proud of being called "Big Man", doing all he could to fill those shoes. Doug honorably served in the United States Air Force, even as he endured the mistreatment experienced by many Black men and women in uniform. Despite these challenges, Doug forever held his family close to his heart, traveling to visit his older sister Joyce and treasuring family time during the holidays. Doug was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Minerva Williams; older brother, Edward Williams; and niece, Chalmbra Bernard. He is survived by his son, Germaine Williams; his siblings,Joyce Bernard, Delores Reed, and Ken Williams; his nieces and nephews, Kim, Jason, Stephen II, Raymond, Fabienne, K.C., Shelly, and Ryan; and many great nieces and nephews.
Doug will always be loved and missed by all.
