Elaine Lefever

June 30, 1942 — May 8, 2022

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother Elaine Marie Glock LeFever. She was called to heaven on Sunday May 8th, 2022 at the age of 80. Elaine was born in Laurel Hill, Queens on August 13, 1941. She was the 5th of 6 children to our grandparents George and Mary Glock. Elaine married William LeFever in 1962 and relocated with him multiple times due to his service with the Air Force – residing in Massachusetts, Louisiana, Japan, among other locations. Elaine and William had 4 children – William in 1963, Wayne Edward in 1964, Kim Renee in 1965 and Christopher John in 1967.

Eventually Elaine and her children created a home in Long Island, New York where they spent many years surrounded by Elaine’s sisters and their children. Years later they relocated to East Tennessee, with many of her other family members. Elaine later joined her son Chris in Myrtle Beach where she enjoyed watching her two grandsons Nicholas and Matthew grow. In her final years, Elaine moved in with her son William and her granddaughter Rachel – who cared for her with such loving hands.

Elaine is survived by her son William, her son Wayne and daughter-in-law Dee, her daughter Kim Hammer and son-in-law Andy, and her son Chris; her grandchildren Rachel, Ryan, Katelyn, Nicholas and Matthew. Elaine is also survived by her 10 nieces, 6 nephews, 15 great nieces, 19 great nephews, 7 great-great nieces and 10 great-great nephews. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents Mae and George Glock and her five siblings and their respective spouses.

God speed! Rest in peace……and may perpetual light shine upon you!

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital in her name.
