Ellen Marie “La La” Moore was born in Saint Louis, Missouri to the union of Charles & Helen Riley on August 29, 1955 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers Robert C. Riley, Charles “Jikki” Riley, and Michael Riley.
Ellen was educated in the Saint Louis Public System and graduated from Soldan High School in 1975. As a young lady she took an interest in modeling, dancing, singing and track. She openly confessed her love for Christ at an early age and was faithful to His work, serving in various ministries within the Kingdom of God. It was this love for people that drew Ellen to the Healthcare industry where she served for more than 20 years. Later in life she ventured into Real Estate and several entrepreneur endeavors. Ellen loved to watch cooking shows and experiment with new recipes in the kitchen. Her “Happy Place” was reading the Word of God and sitting in his presence. Ellen led an exemplary life before her family and friends and was loved by all who knew her. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids who affectionately referred to her as “Granny” and “GiGi.”
Ellen was united in holy matrimony to Gregory Moore Sr. on March 25, 1990. From this union one child, Ellen Marie Moore, was born adding to their blended family of 7.
Ellen leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 32 years Gregory Moore Sr, Eight Children, Sonya Hill (George), Sylvia Meredith, Aaron Riley (Kevino), Gregory Moore Jr., Antonio Riley (Lynda), Aree Riley (Joi), Crystal McJames (Derrick), Ellen Moore; five siblings, Ronald Riley (Adrian), Frances Williams (Larry), Art Riley, Virgil Mathis (Jill), Rose Riley, 25 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
