Forrest Clifford
Goble
May 18, 1960 – March 22, 2026
Forrest Clifford Goble was born May 18, 1960 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2026 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis. Forrest was the fifth child of William H. and Evelyn B. Goble. He was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest brother, William H. Goble Jr.
Forrest grew up in Saint Louis and graduated from Beaumont High School in 1977. Forrest attended Lincoln University, before returning to Saint Louis. He tried a variety of careers before finding his niche as a Security Guard for the Saint Louis Board of Education for many years. He liked being around the energy of young people and many of the students he encountered tell stories of the great advice and compassion he showed in his work, especially after his years at Soldan High School. Forrest was recently promoted in his position at SKF in Saint Louis.
Forrest enjoyed an active lifestyle. From his youth, he enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially football, bike riding and even took up sky diving in recent years! He was a big Saint Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed watching games with family and friends, in his Cardinals gear. But his biggest passion was music... playing and enjoying. As a youngster, Forrest took up the tuba in the high school marching band and later the bass guitar. He was a talented musician and took any opportunity to play with others or enjoy live music.
Forrest was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather and some of his favorite times were spent on local outings to parks or venues or just being with them and offering his love and support. He was so proud of his offspring and would tell everyone of their accomplishments.
Forrest is survived by his daughter, Dominica Christian and her mother, Carla Christian, stepdaughters Shalonda Turner and Nicole Christian, all of Saint Louis, Missouri; his granddaughter, Selena Christian, and great-grandchildren Karter and Khloe Wooten, all of Saint Louis, Missouri; sisters Anna Gibbs (John) of Saint Louis, Missouri and Helen Westbrook (Franklin) of Nashville, Tennessee; brothers Warren Goble Sr. and Robert Goble Sr., both of Saint Louis, Missouri; 12 nieces and nephews, many great and great-great nieces and nephews and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
