Jesus saw fit to breathe life into Gregory Allen Birkhead on July 18, 1965, in Saint Louis, Missouri. His parents were blessed by GOD to welcome their sixth child. Gregory will meet his father, A.B. Birkhead, mother, Lenora Birkhead, baby brother, and sister, Rita Hubbard, at the gates of heaven.

Gregory professed a love for Christ and was baptized. He had a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

On June 7, 2000, Gregory was blessed with the union with his loving wife, A. Birkhead. From this union, a son was born, Gregory Birkhead Jr. Gregory was also father to Mercedes Mosley, Latoya Williams, Rhonda Howard, and Kartimus Birkhead.

Gregory was blessed to be known as Papa to his family and Birkhead to his God-given friends. To his loving wife, he was a husband and companion. Gregory was known to be loving, caring, humble, and always joking. These attributes placed him at the head of his household. Dedicated to providing for his family, Gregory was a hardworking man, bestowing wisdom and knowledge to all who came near. He was a man of few words but with a big heart.

On February 20, 2025, God called to Gregory and brought him into His arms. The soulful melody he brought into this world still lives on, although he is not here.

He leaves to cherish his memory his God-given wife, A. Birkhead, his sons, Gregory Birkhead Jr. and Kartimus Birkhead, and his daughters, Latoya Williams (Tanshire Anderson), Mercedes Mosley, and Rhonda Howard. His surviving siblings are Bill Hubbard, Eugene Hubbard, and Lori Birkhead. He also leaves behind a host of in-laws, a host of cousins, eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of blessed friends and family.
