Key'Shaun Terrell Carmel

Key'Shaun Terrell Carmel aka Pablo entered the world on March 25, 2002 to mother Lenita R. Battle-Carmel. He was the youngest out of 5 children and the only boy.

Key’Shaun was educated in the Saint Louis Public School District, where he left a funny, loving presence. He later started working in fast food at Papa Johns, where through dedication and hard work, he earned the role of manager.

He was also a devoted member of Life Changing Christian Fellowship.

He will be remembered for his joyful spirit and love of life. Key’Shaun enjoyed spending time with his family, being with his girlfriend, and sharing laughter and good times with those around him. His ability to light up a room with his presence will be forever cherished. The laughs, joy, and light he brought to all who knew him will be unmatched.

Key’Shaun was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lewis Morris; his aunt, Kaitlyn Tapley-Starks; and his cousins, Irish Smith and DeAndre Reid.

He leaves to treasure his memory: his devoted mother, Lenita R. Battle-Carmel (Nathan Paige); Stepfather, Anthony T Johnson; his grandparents, Vanessia and Russell Miller; his sisters, Shaela Battle, Sheila Battle, Ra’Sheana Churchman (Tray), and Ayaina Johnson (Javius); his girlfriend, Aamiyah Oliver; his uncles, Mark Carmel, Jarrad Ingram, and Kirk Williams; his aunts, Heather Starks, Amber Starks, Ashantee Starks, LaShonda Perry, and Shirley Robinson; his special moms, Shana White and Dasha Reid; nieces, Shyla Coe, Shaina Trice, Amora Johnson, Tayaina Trice, Ava Johnson, Mirkal McRobert, and Delilah Gunn; his only nephew, Emir Whalen; and a host of great uncles and aunts, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Though his time on earth was far too short, Key’Shaun’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who loved him. His laughter, kindness, and love will continue to inspire and comfort those he leaves behind.
