Louis F. Turner Jr, age 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 23rd, 2023 at his home in St. Louis.
Lou was born in 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Louis Turner Sr. and Barbara Helen Turner. He is survived by his loving wife Deborah Turner, Kristina Marks (step-daughter), David Marks (son-in-law) and grandchildren Gage Galati, Katie Marks, Ella Marks and Madeline Marks.
He was a graduate of Hughes High School in Cincinnati and later earned a degree in engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He was an avid pilot from an early age and took his first solo flight when he was 14 years old. He enjoyed his passion for flying throughout his entire life. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1972. While serving his country, he received numerous accolades and badges and was an exceptional marksman. Additionally, his passion for flying led him during his service to learn how to fly helicopters and then served in the Vietnam war as a helicopter pilot. He was very proud of his military service, but he was most proud of being a loving husband, step-father and Papa to his grandchildren.
