Robert Jackson was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on March 29, 1949. He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy James Jackson Sr. and his mother, Mary Lee Jones Jackson. Siblings preceded in death: Christopher Jackson, Marilyn Hert Jackson, Warren Jackson, Tommy Jackson, Shirley Jackson, and grandmother Hattie Seamester. Robert Jackson was enrolled in Washington High School (segregated) located in El Dorado, Arkansas (class of 1967). Robert was affectionately known as Fruit, Wild Child, and Wild Man. But to his nieces, nephews, and family he was known as “Uncle Bubba”.
Robert served in the U.S. Army as a Wireman Maintenance from December 1968 to December 1970. After an Honorable Discharge from the military, Robert relocated to St. Louis, Missouri. Robert worked in construction and demolition. Robert enjoyed music, traveling, and most of all fishing. Robert leaves to cherish his memory: three brothers and two sisters, Gary Jackson (Jackie) St. Louis, Missouri, James Earl Jackson (Beverly) El Dorado, Arkansas, Vera Bridges (Curtis) St. Louis, Missouri, Saundra Jackson (Tommy) Cleveland, Ohio, and Jody Clemons Jr. who was like a brother. Robert leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
